WHO ARE YOU ?
My name is Maylee Dubois, I'm a 30 belgian photographer currently living in Liege even if I'm frequently going to Brussels or abroad for work. As far as I can remember I've always enjoyed taking pictures. When I was a child I use to have the very oldschool "Fisherprice" camera hanged around my neck. My world is stamped by poetry and romanticism, but I also have a rock'n roll side (this is my dark side). I favor spontaneous emotions and a muted and dreamy atmosphere rather than bright colors and high edited pictures. I love my job and I put effort to do the best I can in every wedding or session I photograph. To know a little bit more about me and my work , it's here :)

WHAT HAVE YOU STUDIED ?
I studied photography at St-Luc School of Arts in Belgium. I've received a complete technical training. I also have studied film photography in evening class at IFAPME Liege  so that I can develop films myself. Photography has no more secret for me, or almost. Because we always have something new to learn even after many years of practice.

WHAT KIND OF MATERIALS DO YOU USE ?

I currently use Canon 5D Mark III and pro grade "L" lenses. I always carry backup equipment with me!

WHAT KIND OF SERVICES DO YOU OFFER ?
I'm specialized in portrait session and weddings but I offer many other services: individual portrait session, couple session, family session, for every age and with a Lifestyle approach always with natural light. I'm going in your favorite place or to your home to capture unforced emotions without any artificial light or photography studio. Full wedding coverage, mini-sessions during Christmas and Valentine's Day, Corporate, please feel free to have a look at my "pricing" tab to have all the informations about my rates and prices or to contact me.

HOW CAN I BOOK MY PORTRAIT/MINI-SESSION/WEDDING DATE ?
At first leave me a mail here explaining shortly your project, what kind of session you would like, period or date desired or your wedding date. I'll contact you to answer your questions and we'll schedule the session date together after a first meeting or Skype call to discuss all the details. The more I know about you the best I can make a session that will fit your personality. For wedding I ask a 50% deposit of total amount and a signed contract to be sure to book the date.

DO YOU WORK AND TRAVEL ABROAD ?
Yes of course! I love to travel and work outside Belgium.  I'm currently based in Belgium but I can totally work internationally, feel free to send me your wedding projets I really love to travel :)

WHAT ARE THE TRAVELING COSTS ?
Traveling costs are included for all wedding in Belgium but are additional charge and case by case for international wedding. They generally include transport charges (car, train, plane) and hotel nights.

HOW WILL I GET THE PHOTOS ? DO YOU OFFER PRINTS OR PHOTO ALBUM ?
It depends on the session I've made but I generally deliver the photos on an USB Key that I give you personally or ship by post in an handmade kraft box. It contains your photos in high and low resolution so you can publish them on Facebook and share them with all your quests or keep them to make prints or albums. I can also make prints on professional fine art paper upon request or photo album.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I GET ?
As far as I'm concerned, I prefer quality to quantity. For a full wedding coverage you'll get between 300 and 800 photos treated and retouched after selection.

WHY IS IT BETTER TO MAKE PROFESSIONAL PHOTO ALBUM AND PRINTS ?
The album you will get in shop or made on internet by yourself are not offering a high quality that highlight your memories. I work with a print service reserved for professional photographers. Their album are one of the best quality on the market actually. For the prints I make them upon request for you or your guests on fine art paper that will last longer. Please find more informations about the Fine Art Album here.

CAN WE MEET YOU BEFORE BOOKING OUR WEDDING ?
Of course. I try if possible to meet the couple that request me before the ceremony to meet and discuss together the details of the contract, your wishes for the wedding coverage. If you live very far from Belgium we'll try to Skype or have a phone call at your convenience.

WHEN WILL WE GET THE PHOTOS ?
The first highlight photos will be ready within 2 or 3 days in the online private gallery. The USB package with the complete wedding day will be ready within 6 at 12 weeks after that time. This is the time I need to treat all the photos and prepare a cute special wedding package.

WHAT'S THE "ENGAGMENT" OR "SAVE THE DATE" SESSION EXACTLY ?
It's a couple session we made a few weeks or months before your wedding. This session allows us to know each other a bit more and to make pictures in a more relaxed atmosphere. You choose the location and the inspiration to want: romantic, nutty, funny. The photos made can be used to illustrate your wedding announcement, guestbook or Thank you cards.

HOW DO YOU WORK ON THE D-DAY ?
I try to be as reserved as possible to capture every important moments without disturbing your privacy. I favor natural light and I don't ask your guest to straight the pose at all. Spontaneity is always better! I work in a photojournalistic way.

DO YOU DO OTHER TYPE OF PHOTOGRAPHY ?
Yes, sure!  Don't hesitate to contact me explaining your request. Couple sessions, family portrait, hen and stag party, artist portrait, mini-sessions on Holidays and Christmas time, ...
